Twitter Introduces a Long-Form Messages Feature

Since Twitter has a 280-character limit for its posts, users have to create threads to combine multiple tweets into one complete story. Besides that, they tend to write long-form content in various apps and upload these texts to the social media platform as screenshots.

While difficult to track sometimes, threads are part of the Twitter ecosystem and include hashtags that help people find the content they are interested in. However, the platform does not consider uploaded screenshots as searchable text that would benefit the social network. With that in mind, the new Notes feature will help Twitter get rid of the threads’ complexity and allow users to share long-form messages just like short tweets.
